Job Title: Purchasing Specialist

Location: Radnor, PA  19087

Reports to:  Chief Procurement Officer

 

Description    

The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for processing client requisitions, soliciting price or delivery information, ensuring appropriate approvals are received, issuing Purchase Orders to suppliers, expediting delivery and working with Accounting to resolve any invoice discrepancies.

 

Responsibilities:

Add/update supplier information (contact, location addresses, payment terms). Maintain records change log. Obtain required supplier information & Finance/Buyer authorization for additions to supplier list. Update supplier merger & acquisitions in the database. Add/delete supplier as appropriate. Retrieve & maintain purchase order records as per requirement, Maintain applicable work instructions, procedures, forms & documents. Conduct Buyer & Supplier training & support.

Ensure PO processing is accurate. Amend/cancel P.O.s as per requirement. Perform price differential processing and amend PO price changes where appropriate. Update and maintain product price database. Evaluate the price difference in the POs and co-ordinate with the vendor to determine and agree on the final negotiated cost. Co-ordinate to ensure order price and timing of delivery is agreed and communicated to client.

Process requisitions for various clients. Resolve requisition fall-outs and returns. Change and amend purchase requisitions as per requirement. Handle Help Desk for Procurement related support.

Receive request for invoice issue resolution. Request for invoice specifics (e.g. pc price, qty, other), perform invoice issue analysis.  Advise supplier to re-invoice with correction, as needed.

Strong understanding of Service Level Agreements is critical to ensure customer satisfaction.

Special projects as assigned.

 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred
  • Helpful and proactive manner, with a service orientation
  • Drives issues to resolution and good problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in cross functional team environment
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Products including Microsoft Excel
